In an effort to enhance Missouri Western’s connection with businesses in downtown St. Joseph, several Missouri Western employees spent some time visiting the businesses last month. Miu Sutton, graduate assistant of the Center for Entrepreneurship, Claudia Baer, student employment coordinator for the Career Development Center; Aubry Carpenter, public relations and marketing assistant; and Savana Luft marketing intern; went door-to-door downtown to deliver Missouri Western flags and share information about connecting with the university. They were able to connect with 50 businesses and will be expanding their connection efforts across St. Joseph in the upcoming months.

The Center for Entrepreneurship provides assistance to many of the Downtown businesses through business coaching, as well as connecting to MWSU’s Craig School of Business classes.  Sutton said, “It was great to get out and meet business owners to let them know of the many ways we can support them.”
