Do you know of an amazing business owner who is doing great things? These entrepreneurs are the backbone of our regional economy. They are the job creators, as well as drivers of innovation. We want to recognize these outstanding achievers. Do you have a favorite business you patronize, a client or a friend that you would like to nominate?
The Center for Entrepreneurship in the Craig School of Business and Technology at Missouri Western State University is accepting nominations for the 2020 Entrepreneur of the Year and Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
The Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award is given to someone who has been in business five years or less and is demonstrating innovation that has the potential to impact our community. The Entrepreneur of the Year award is given to someone who has been in business for more than five years; it honors both their professional achievements and their civic contributions to the local community.
Nomination forms and instructions can be found on the Center for Entrepreneurship’s website, and should be completed and returned by March 9. Entrepreneurship Week is set for March 23-27, and winners will be announced at the capstone luncheon on March 27.
Entrepreneurship Week is a series of workshops and events for local business professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, college and high school students and those curious about the skills needed to run a small business.
