First MBA graduates in 2018

In just four short years, Missouri Western’s flagship MBA program has expanded to meet the growing needs of students and the business community. The University began offering the MBA program in 2017 with 9 in the original graduating class. Since then, more than 100 Griffons have graduated from the program.

“Our original MBA was a traditional in-person program with a focus in General Business,” said Tom Williamson, Assistant to the Dean “As student and community demand evolved, we continued to adapt our programs to meet these changing needs.”

Missouri Western’s 30-credit-hour MBA program now offers flexible onsite and online options with a wide variety of specialty focus areas.

Specific Concentrations. The in-person onsite MBA offers expanded concentration specialties including Forensic Accounting, Engineering Technology Management and General Business for those who prefer an in-person learning experience. The 10-course 30-credit-hour programs are designed so students can complete their MBA in 12 months.

Online. To remain flexible and convenient for working professionals, a 100% online MBA option was added in fall of 2018. The program consists of eight-week courses designed so students can finish their MBA in 12 months.

Nursing. In addition to the various business options, Missouri Western also offers a joint MSN/MBA for nursing professionals who want to advance their career options in the healthcare industry.

Accelerated MBA. The accelerated MBA program is available to senior undergraduate business majors. The program enables students to earn dual credit for both undergraduate and graduate degrees, enabling them to complete both degrees in just five years.

“Unlike many other MBA programs in the area, the Craig School of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business,” added “This prestigious accreditation has rigorous standards and is only awarded to the top 5 percent of business schools in the world.”
